Equipment Classes allow equipment to be placed into groups where each item is of a similar type. For example they could be grouped as follows:

Class Equipment
Labeller Bottle labeller A
Bottle labeller B
Packing cell Cell 12
Cell 13

What are the Different Equipment Levels

Each equipment class is associated to an equipment level within a hierarchy. Different functions within ATS Bus will work with different equipment levels.

The hierarchy is as follows:

Equipment Level Example
Enterprise Group of car manufacturing plants
Site A single car manufacturing plant
Area Paint area
Work Cell Spray booths
Work Unit Single spray booth
Part Fender
Sub Part Fender rim

Create an Equipment Class

1.     Select the Master Data tab.

2.     Click Equipment Classes.

A list of the existing equipment classes is shown. It displays the equipment level, equipment class name and the description.

3.     Click Add.

4.     Enter a name for the equipment class.

5.     Select an equipment level.

6.     Enter a description in the default language.

7.     Click Save.

The equipment class is saved.

Modify an Equipment Class

1.     Select the Master Data tab.

2.     Click Equipment Classes.

3.     Select an equipment class.

4.     Click Edit.

5.     Make required changes.

6.     Click Save.

The equipment class is updated.

Delete an Equipment Class

1.     Select the Master Data tab.

2.     Click Equipment Classes.

3.     Select an equipment class.

4.     Click Delete.

5.     Click Yes to confirm.

The equipment class is deleted.
