The Configurations tab contains information about the DataSmith (*.4datasmith) document currently open. The first level of the tree contains the name of the DataSmith document. The next level contains the Configs, or configurations of data types which make up the translator. With the components of a config, you can define headers, footers, comments and validations, and create features and characteristics. Creating more than one config in a DataSmith document allows you to identify and extract different types of information from the currently loaded data files.
