A Query is best defined as a set of commands that are sent to the database looking for information. The database then returns information based on the parameters set within your query. These commands are defined by the Feature and Sample selections within the Query. A Query will include all of the features and samples associated to the Routine you wish to load. Label each Query for use with CM4D DataSources. More than one routine may be loaded at one time into any one Query. The Queries in the Data Tree will maintain an organized structure automatically, such as order Queries and Routines within a query alphabetically by label, as well as retain the Expanded or Collapsed states as defined by the user.
CM4D loads Routines and Subroutines from the DataSource using Queries.
You can change the selected routine for a query at any time by following these steps:
1. Right-click on the Features folder in the query you want to change.
2. Select Properties from the menu.
3. You are now at the list of routines associated with the desired database.
4. Select desired routine or routines, then click Next.
5. You are now given the option for advanced feature filtering.
6. Click Next, then click Finish.
