Create Annotation Templates

Annotation templates are useful if you have several sheets, and wish their appearance to be uniform. Annotation templates save the properties of your annotation, so that you can use them in your CM4D documents.

First, create an annotation. Use the styles properties to customize the appearance of your annotation. Then, follow the directions below to save your annotation as a template.

Tip
Using a bitmap (*.bmp) file in a container annotation and then saving them as an annotation template is not recommended.

Save Your Annotation as a Template

1.     Right click on the annotation to bring up the menu.

2.     Select "Load/Save" from the menu, a sub-menu will appear.

3.     Select "Save to file..." from the sub-menu.

4.     Select the directory you want the file saved in.

5.     Enter a name for the file.

6.     Click OK.
