The mouse controls for the 3D Viewer are dependent on the Selection Mode and which keys/buttons are used.

Buttons + Keys   Description
Left Mouse Button Click+Hold+Move Rotate the model in 3D space
  Double Click    
Right Mouse Button Click+Hold+Move Move the model around the viewer without rotation.
Click Click on a Feature Marker opens the list of available annotation.
Mouse Wheel Zoom model in or out; center of zoom area is focused on cursor placement.
  Scroll Forward Zoom in on the model.
Scroll Back Zoom out on the model.

Select Features

Select one Feature marker at a time. Additional markers can be added by holding the Ctrl key.

Buttons + Keys   Description
Left Mouse click on Feature Marker   Select the individual Feature marker. Once selected, the marker is highlighted in yellow. To deselect a marker, click on a yellow marker or click an area without a marker.
Left Mouse Ctrl+click + Select the marker while keeping any already selected markers highlighted. To deselect a marker, keep holding Ctrl and click on a yellow marker.

To select individual markers:

  1. Activate the Select tool in the 3D Viewer Toolbar.
  2. Click on a Feature Marker.
  3. To add more features to the current list, hold the Ctrl key and click one or more additional markers.
  4. To unselect all features, release the Ctrl key and select new markers.

Select Features by Area

Select one or more features by dragging a box around the markers. Additional markers can be added by holding the Ctrl key.

Description

Left Mouse

click+drag

Select the marker(s) within the bounding box.

To deselect a marker, drag the area around the selected marker(s) again or on an area without markers.

Ctrl+click+drag

Add the marker(s) within the bounding box while keeping any already selected markers highlighted.

To deselect one or more markers, keep holding Ctrl and drag the area around the selected marker(s) again.

To select multiple markers in an area:

  1. Activate the Area Select tool in the 3D Viewer Toolbar.
  2. Click and drag a box around the feature markers you want to select.
  3. To add more features, hold the Ctrl key and drag a box around other markers.
  4. To clear the selected markers, release the Ctrl key and drag a new box around some markers.

While holding Ctrl, any part of the box dragged over selected markers will deselect the markers in the overlapped area.
