The Orientation Cube is a navigation tool that is displayed while you are working with a View in Edit Mode. The cube acts as a visual representation of the 3D model that can be clicked or dragged to change the orientation of the model in the view.
The surface of the cube is labeled with the six standard orthogonal views (Left, Right, Front, Back, Top and Bottom). The isometric perspectives are predefined clickable areas on the cube which are highlighted when the cursor is positioned over the cube.
Edge (Isometric) | Corner (Isometric) | Face (Orthogonal) |
The cube is also available in image previews when loading a model (Routine Images, Document Images, DataUtility).
The size and location of the orientation cube is determined by the properties of the View Axis. See the topic for more information.
