Settings for supported languages

The supported languages are configured centrally for ATS Configuration Manager and all installed plug-ins. When translation files (or translations) for a specific language are not present for a certain plug-in then the plug-in will be loaded on the default (English) language when this "unsupported on plug-in level" language is selected from the user options.

The available languages for selection from the Change language user option are configured in the settings file (appsettings.json) of ATS Configuration Manager application. This file is located in the installation directory (default location: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\ATS.ConfigurationManager).

This file can be edited with a text editor which needs to be run with administrator privileges to be able to save the modifications.

The language settings have the following format:

"ISO-639 Language Code-ISO-3166 Country Code":  "LanguageLabel"

• for example:
  
  "en-US":  "English"

The LanguageLabel is the text (caption) of the language option when selecting languages from the Change language user option. These settings should be grouped under the languages configuration group in the appsettings.json file. The example below shows the configuration of three languages: English, Macedonian and Turkish.

• Sample language settings:

• The order in which the languages will appear in the Change language user option is alphabetical.

• When configuring languages with specific encoding it is important to save the settings file (appsettings.json) with the UTF-8 encoding.
