A Unit of Measure is required when specifying a Characteristic so that statistical data can be calculated.
It is also possible to associate different Units of Measure to each other (eg. 100cm = 1m).
1. Select the Variable tab.
2. Click Unit of Measure.
A list of the existing UoMs is displayed.
3. Click the add icon ().
4. Enter a description and an abbreviation.
5. If required, select an existing UoM in the list and enter a conversion rate.
For example, if you are adding Meter, you could enter 100 in the Conversion column for centimeter.
Conversions only work in one direction. Therefore the conversion must be entered in both UoMs if required.
6. Click OK.
The UoM is added to the list.
