This report displays product parts which are divided into sub-components and lists the defects on those sub-components.
This is a valuable report for quality teams.
The Subcomponent Detail Report is a table and optionally, a chart that will display the number of defects in specific subcomponents. Subcomponents are divisions of components that can be specifically defined by users.
Components are defined as "part + location." Inspect supports the further sectioning of the component into two or more sections called sub-components.
Using Inspect Admin, users can divide a single component into subcomponents. For further information see here.
Below is an image of a left-side door. This is one single component.
The following illustration shows the same left-side front door divided into three subcomponents.
When the Detail Subcomponent Report is viewed, the Left Front Door component is divided into the three sub-components and the defects in the table are split between the sub-components.
Following is an example of a table for a part called "exhaust plate" that contains the following information in the first two columns:
● Short – Five-character code that represents the subcomponent of the part
● Description – Description of the subcomponent (part + location)
