Inspect Reporting is accessed through the Internet Explorer browser.
1. Enter the following URL address:
http://ServerName/inspect
ServerName is the name or IP address of the server in your facility. Your IT department can supply the server name to access reporting.
After entering the URL above, the user will see the main log-in screen for Inspect Reporting:
2. If required, select a database.
The database shown is set during installation. See here for information on how to create a new database connection or modify an existing one.
3. Enter a user name and password.
4. Click Connect.
The application opens.
It is important that each user has a unique user name and password. Since criteria settings are based on this user name and password, if shared, the settings would be different each time a user logged in.
When running Inspect Reporting, after a period of idle time, users will automatically be logged off. This is due to Microsoft’s default Internet Information Services (IIS) settings.
To change the automatic log out time for Inspect Reporting:
1. Select Start> Control Panel > Administration Tools > Internet Information Services
2. Expand the Server name
3. Expand Web Sites
4. Right-click the Default Web Site and choose Properties
5. Change the Connection timeout to however many seconds you want.
If Application Pools are being used in IIS, you may have additional settings that may need to be changed.
6. From IIS, right-click Application Pools and select Properties
7. Click the Performance tab
8. Change the Idle Timeout setting to the desired number
