A Unit of Measure is required when specifying a Characteristic. Different Units of Measure cannot be compared but are required for user reference when entering and reviewing data.
1. Select the Variable tab.
2. Click Units of Measure.
A list of the existing UoMs is displayed.
3. Click the add button ().
The Units of Measure creation window opens.
4. Enter a description and code.
5. Enter an abbreviation (e.g. Kilogram would be kg).
6. Click OK.
The UoM is added to the list.
