Sub Equipment tab

• This topic explains how to complete the Sub Equipment  tab when editing an item in the equipment hierarchy.

• Sub equipment is only available with Work Units.

When adding downtime in Data Collect it can help to assign the downtime to parts and sub-parts of equipment so that the real root of the problem is highlighted.

Add parts and sub-parts to equipment as follows:

1.     Select the Sub Equipment tab.

2.     Select the Part tab in the right hand pane.

The available equipment classes are listed.

3.     Click and drag an equipment class into the main pane to the left.

4.     Enter a name and description for the part and click OK.

The part is added to the list.

5.     Select the Sub-Part tab on the right hand side.

6.     Click and drag a sub-part equipment class onto the part you just added.

7.     Enter a name for the sub-part and click OK.

The sub-part is added to the list underneath the part.
