The Licensing Server Manager supports four different types of licenses:
- Permanent
- Leased
- Demo
- Internal
The License store grid will show different information depending on the type of the license and its current status. It will show the license type as well as expiration date and/or activation details for license types where this is applicable.
Permanent and Leased licenses need activation before certain "activate by" date. In case they are not activated by then they become invalid and the ATS software application requiring that license will not be able to run. After activation permanent licenses never expire, while leased licenses expire after the end of their lease period (example 6 or 12 months).
Demo licenses do not need activation. They will just expire (become invalid) after their expiration date. Internal licenses are similar to Demo license.
