When using automated data collection the mode and state of a machine is recorded. However, to turn these into useful values that can be used to calculate OEE they must be associated to items within the Reason Tree.
Each Mode and State combination can be associated to a single item in the Reason Tree.
Select the Equipment & Downtime tab.
Click Reason Tree.
A list of the existing Reason Trees is displayed.
Double-click on the item you wish to associate to a Mode and State.
A screen similar to the following one is displayed.
Enable Automated Data Collection enabled.
Only the ‘Downtime reason’ can have modes and states assigned and the top and second level categories are only available for grouping.
Select a Machine Mode and State from the drop-down lists.
Click OK.
The Mode and State combination are now associated to that Reason Tree item.
