Installation Overview

In order to use ATS Bus you need to install several different applications contained within ATS Bus as well as some external applications. The parts you need will depend on how you are going to be using the Bus.

The following table details the order in which to install the applications.

ATS Configuration Manager

Contains the ATS Security plugin, which authenticates users of ATS software.

ATS Licensing Manager

Licenses the application.  For more information, please click here.

OPC Browsing Service

Required by OT Bus Stop if using OPC DA specification connection.

NServiceBus Monitoring

Required for message auditing and retries.

ATS Bus

Configuration database, data service and applications like Cockpit.

ATS Security

Configure users and roles using the ATS Security plugin, installed in step 1.

3rd party software

Such as OPC Servers, MTConnect agents and other services. They may be required by ATS Bus Cockpit to configure ATS Bus. Please refer to their product installation manuals for further details.

Bus Stops

The Bus Stops can be installed in any order.

Anti-malware and anti-virus software influence the performance of ATS Bus. The following directories MUST be excluded from on-access scanning:
- ATS Bus installation directory
- ATS Bus program data directory
- Particular ServiceControl program data directory
- Any directory used by the ATS Bus configuration
