Alternative Units of Measure

If required, materials can have more than one UoM. This allows different materials to be compared . For example, for material APacket may be equivalent to 100 grams, whereas for material BPacket may be equivalent to 150 grams.

Select the Alternative Units of Measure tab.

Click Add.

Select a Unit of Measure.

Enter a Conversion Factor and Conversion Offset.

For example, in temperature the calculation to convert °C to °F is

°F = (°C x 1.8) + 32

Therefore, if your base UoM was °C then, as an alternative UoM, °F would have:

Conversion Factor: 1.8

Conversion Offset: 32

Click OK.

The alternative UoM is saved.

Click Save.

The material definition is saved.
