After configuring the plant, the next step is to configure products. However, configuring a product is not just a single step – it is comprised of four main configuration steps, each divided into several individual processes:
First, you define the products, the product groups, the product/group relationships, the build groups and model years in Cockpit (see here)
Then, you define the parts, the part folders, and the part/folders relationships.
Next, you define the locations, the location folders, and the location/folders relationships.
Finally, you define the part/location relationships themselves.
