What Are Arrows Used For?

Arrows are often used to point from the annotation text box to the location of the component itself.

Remember that modifying an existing arrow style will modify all existing arrows that use that style. This may cause unexpected/unwanted display results. It is usually recommended to create a new arrow style rather than modify an existing one so that your previous work is not affected.

Add an Arrow

Select the layer you want to add the arrow to.

Select the Design tab in the ribbon.

Click Add Arrow.

It's also possible to add an arrow by right-clicking on the Arrows item within the layer and selecting Add Arrow from the context menu.

Click and drag on the view to draw the arrow.

The arrow is added to the view.

Change the Arrow Style

Select the arrow on the view or in the View Explorer tree.

In the Properties pane select the down-arrow next to the Style.

Select a new style.

Click Apply.

The new style is applied.

For information on creating styles see here.
