Edit lockout settings

When user lockout is enabled then the lockout settings are considered when user accounts are being locked.

Set maximum failed attempts

1. Select number in the Maximum failed attempts field to count the number of wrong passwords provided before the user account gets locked. Value 1 in this field means that the user account is locked immediately when the user provides wrong password.

2. Click on the Save option.

3. "Settings successfully saved" success notification appears.

Set lockout duration

1a. Select the Lockout never ends radio button option to make sure that locked user accounts can only be unlocked by the administrator from the user's grid context option or from user details blade. When this option is selected the minutes selector field in the Lockout settings section is disabled.

1b. Select the Lockout ends in (minutes) radio button option to provide some duration of the lockout period after which the account becomes automatically unlocked (it can also be unlocked by the administrator prior expiration of the lockout period). When this option is selected the minutes selector field in the Lockout settings section is enabled and here you can select the desired lockout duration in minutes.

2. Click on the Save option.

3. "Settings successfully saved" success notification appears.
