Each row in the reporting sources grid has a context menu which you
can open by clicking on the context menu icon . The
context menu options are:
To delete a source from the reporting sources grid:
1. Select the Delete option from the source's context menu.
2. Click on the Yes button in the confirmation pop-up window.
A success notification appears once the delete operation is successfully completed. The deleted source is no longer present in the reporting sources grid.
Select the Open option from the source's context menu. The Reporting source details blade is loaded on the right. The Reporting sources details blade has two tabs:
Properties - Here you can see details for a specific reporting source such as endpoints, credentials, default parameters for time periods.
Reports - Here you can see a read-only list of reports present on the reporting source at the moment.
The Properties tab is loaded initially. There are Save and Discard options in the top right corner of the Reporting source details blade - Properties tab. The Save and Discard options are disabled until you modify some fields in the form. Click on Save will apply the changes to the reporting source. Click on Discard will discard your changes and restore the original values in the modified fields. Additionally click on Discard will make the Save and Discard options disabled again.
Also, as long as the form fields in a details blade are not modified it is possible to work with the "parent" grid (Reporting sources grid in this case). Once some modifications are made in the Reporting source details blade the Reporting sources grid becomes "disabled" - grid interactions are no longer possible until you complete your changes with a Save or close the details blade.
If you navigate to another tab in the blade without explicitly saving your changes made in the previous tab your changes will be lost. Click on the X button in the blade header closes the Reporting source details blade and also all your changes which were not saved are lost.
The properties of reporting sources are divided into sections:
1. General section - contains the name, type and description of the source as well as the endpoint URL for Microsoft SSRS, Tableau and Inspect CAD types of reporting sources or hostname URL for CM4D Scheduler for CM4D types of reporting sources. For Microsoft SSRS type of reports there is also a check-box "Is Inspect SSRS report". This check-box is used to mark an SSRS reporting source as Inspect Report and the parameters are automatically set if they exist when a report is added to the hierarchy.
2. Source credentials section - contains the necessary fields to specify connections credentials to the reporting source. There is a Check connection option in this section to verify that the credentials provide access to the reporting source. This section is specific to Microsoft SSRS, Inspect CAD and Tableau types of reporting sources.
3. Database connection settings section - contains the necessary fields to establish database connection to the site database of the CM4D reporting source. This section is specific for CM4D types of reporting sources. This section also contains a Check connection option to verify that the database connection can be established.

5. Default From-To parameters section - contains fields to specify names of date-time parameters to be used as default from and to parameters when enabling time periods for reports coming from this reporting source.
6. Azure Active Directory section - this section is specific for Power BI types of reporting sources. It contains the necessary fields to specify connections credentials to the reporting source. There is a Check connection option in this section to verify that the credentials provide access to the reporting source. There are User and Password fields for the Master Account, Application ID, Endpoint URL and Power BI API URL.
