The Organize reports menu can be accessed by selecting the Configure button on the Reporting card.
The Organize reports menu blade contains two sections:
Source: Select the reporting source. The menu to be organised will be displayed in the Reports Menu section.
Reports Menu: The currently configured reports menu for the selected reporting source is displayed.
Both the source tree and the reports menu tree can be filtered and their items can be expanded and collapsed.
The items in the Reports menu can be folders and reports (report instances). Folders are added by creating them in the reports menu section. Reports are added with drag&drop operations from the source report tree in the source section or by cloning existing reports in the reports menu.
To add or create a new folder in the reports menu:
Click on the New folder link in the reports menu section of the Organize reports menu blade.
A New folder input field appears on top position of the reports menu structure which can be edited. There is a tick mark and an "X" icon on the right side of the text element. It can be also edited by pressing Enter and Esc.
Enter a name for the new folder.
Click on the tick mark icon to complete the action, or press Enter.
A success notification appears. The new folder is added to the reports menu structure on top position.
To add a report to the root level of the reports menu:
In the source section of the Organize reports menu blade select a source from the Source select list.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report you want to add to the reports menu.
Drag the report from the source tree to the desired position in the reports menu on the right (reports menu section of the blade).The target position will be marked as drop area.
Drop the report to the target position in the reports menu.
A success notification appears and the new report menu item is added to the selected position in the reports menu.
To add a report to a folder in the reports menu:
Select a source from the Source select list in the source section of the Organize reports menu blade.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report you want to add to the reports menu.
Drag the report from the source tree over the target folder in the reports menu on the right (menu section of the blade). The target folder will be "highlighted".
Drop the report to the target folder in the reports menu. A success notification appears.
Expand the target folder in the reports menu. The new report menu item is added on the last (bottom) position in the folder.
To select a position for the report in the target folder:
Select a source from the Source select list in the source section of the Organize reports menu blade.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report you want to add to the reports menu.
Expand the target folder in the reports menu section.
Drag the report from the source tree to the desired position inside the expanded folder. The target position will be marked as drop area.
Drop the report to the target position in the reports menu.
A success notification appears and the new report menu item is added to the selected position inside the target folder.
To add a report folder to the root level of the reports menu:
Select a source from the Source select list in the source section of the Organize reports menu blade.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report folder you want to add to the reports menu .
Drag the report folder from the source tree to the desired position in the reports menu on the right (reports menu section of the blade). The target position will be marked as drop area.
Drop the report folder to the target position in the reports menu.
A success notification appears and the new report folder menu item is added to the selected position in the reports menu. The newly created reports menu contains all the reports and correct hierarchy from the source report folder.
To add a report folder from the source to the reports menu on same level:
Select a source from the Source select list in the source section of the Organize reports menu blade.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report folder you want to add to the reports menu.
Drag the report folder from the source tree on first level (between reports or folders, or both) in the reports menu on the right (reports menu section of the blade). The target place will be "highlighted".
Drop the report folder on the "highlighted" place in the reports menu.
A success notification appears. The new report folder menu item is added on the place you've chosen in the tree. The newly created reports menu contains all the reports and correct hierarchy from the source report folder.
To add a report to a folder in the reports menu:
Select a source from the Source select list in the source section of the Organize reports menu blade.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report folder you want to add to the reports menu.
Drag the report folder from the source tree over the target folder in the reports menu on the right (reports menu section of the blade). The target folder will be "highlighted".
Drop the report folder to the target folder in the reports menu.
A success notification appears. Expand the target folder in the reports menu. The new report folder menu item is added on the last (bottom) position in the folder. The newly created reports menu contains all the reports and correct hierarchy from the source report folder.
To select a position for the report folder in the target folder:
Select a source from the Source select list in the source section of the Organize reports menu blade.
The reports from the selected source are loaded in the source section in a source reports tree. The organisation of items in the source tree is managed on the selected reporting source (server).
In the source reports tree find the report folder you want to add to the reports menu
Expand the target folder in the reports menu section.
Drag the report folder from the source tree to the desired position inside the expanded folder. The target position will be marked as drop area.
Drop the report folder to the target position in the reports menu.
A success notification appears and the new report folder menu item is added to the selected position inside the target folder.
