Various annotation allow you to apply an event action. If you select one of the "When to Draw" options as the event action for an annotation, you must set the event Trigger 1 or Trigger 2 (e.g. setting a red X to appear if the value of a sample exceeds a set amount) in the DataSet Properties Event tab.
When the select event occurs, CM4D has the capability of triggering an annotation to either
When to Draw - cause the annotation to appear on the sheet, or
Use Style to indicate Trigger - apply a unique style property
An event can be triggered on a sheet or within a chart, but the DataSource for any of the annotation must be a DataSet.
For example, triggered data may be displayed as:
- A text box that only appears when a sample in a DataSet is out of tolerance,
- A shape that appears on a chart when a sample is equal to or beyond a predefined limit, or
- A graph that turns red when in Collecting Data mode.
