Data Collect is used to enter and track quality concerns and repair
data. It can be run on a portable device, such as a tablet, or on a stationary
PC. Portable devices are useful for roving data collection, whereas stationary
workstations are used at fixed data inspection locations. In either case,
operators can enter quality concerns for a part (including the type and
the severity of concern) and then assign it for repair.
In this tutorial you will use all the main features of Data Collect. Using a bicycle manufacturing plant as an example you will enter defects on a production line for ATS Bikes.
This tutorial assumes that the Cockpit, Form Composer and View Composer tutorials have already been completed.
Carry out the following steps:
Log into Data Collect
Register a Unit in the System
Move around the unit view
Mark a single defect
Attach an image to a defect
View an existing unit
Repair and remove defects
