Validation messages are displayed when an incorrect answer is given to a checklist question. Whether or not an answer is incorrect is decided by the question validation which is set in the Validation tab during question configuration (see here).
Select the Attribute tab.
Click Messages.
A list of the existing error messages is displayed.
Click the Add button (
).
Enter a unique description for the error message. This is the message that will be seen by the operator when an incorrect answer is entered.
Enter any further information in the Comments box. This will not be shown to the operator.
Click OK.
The error message is saved.
Validation messages cannot be deleted when a question is being added or edited.
