Components are created by associating parts to location(s). In the case of an aerospace manufacturer, for example, the part could be a Vertical Stabilizer and the location could be Left or Right. Examples of part and location relationships are displayed below:
Select the Products tab.
Click Parts/Locations in the Parts sub-menu.
A list of the existing part/location relationships is displayed.
Click and drag locations from the right-hand pane onto the parts in the left-hand pane to associate them.
