The Importer Service receives data from ATS Bus and passes it on to the Data Service, which then updates the database. There may be several Importer Services running in the same plant which helps with scalability as, if required, the data load can be shared between them.
Select the Automatic Collection tab.
Click Importers.
A list of the existing Import Services is displayed.
Click the add icon (
).
By default the name will be filled with Collector Import Service followed by the date.
Enter a Host name. This is the server where the import service is located.
Select a port and binding type.
Click Check Connectivity. This will confirm that the settings are correct.
Please check the firewall settings if the importer service is not reachable. More information can be found here.
Click OK.
The Importer is added to the list.
