When self registration of users is enabled in ATS Security the Don't have an account? text with Register link appears in the Login dialog on the login page of ATS Security.

Registration workflow when administrator approval is required

To register as user in ATS Security:

1. Click on the Register link in the ATS Security login page Login dialog.

2. The Registration dialog loads with fields for:

Username

Email

Password

     with Cancel and Register buttons.

3. Provide a username, valid e-mail address and password.

3a. The username and e-mail address fields will be marked as invalid in case they have been already used for another user account in ATS Security. The password field will be marked as invalid in case the provided value does not match the currently active password complexity settings.

4. The Request submitted dialog appears with instructions to check the e-mail and confirm the registration request.

5. Check the inbox for the Email address provided in step 3. A message should be received from ATS Security with subject: ATS Security registration: Confirm email address and a Confirm Email link in the content.

6. Click on the Confirm Email link in the message.

7. The Registration submitted dialog appears with information that an e-mail will be send once the account is ready.

8. The account from the registration ends up in the Pending approval status.

9. The Administrator user approves the pending account.

10. Check the inbox for the Email address provided in step 3. A message should be received from ATS Security with subject: ATS Security registration: Registration confirmed.

11. You can login using the username and password provided in step 3.

Registration workflow without required administrator approval

To register as user in ATS Security:

1. Click on the Register link in the ATS Security login page Login dialog.

2. The Registration dialog loads with fields for:

4. The Request submitted dialog appears with instructions to check the e-mail and confirm the registration request.

5. Check the inbox for the Email address provided in step 3. A message should be received from ATS Security with subject: ATS Security registration: Confirm email address and a Confirm Email link in the content.

6. Click on the Confirm Email link in the message.

7. The Registration submitted dialog appears with information that an e-mail will be send once the account is ready.

8. After the e-mail address from the registration is confirmed the account is automatically enabled. Check the inbox for the Email address provided in step 3. A message should be received from ATS Security with subject: ATS Security registration: Registration confirmed.

9. You can login using the username and password provided in step 3.

• Users that have not confirmed their e-mail addresses for various reasons (e-mail was not sent, or they did not receive it, or they simply did not click on the confirmation link in the e-mail message) can not use the same username and e-mail address for new registration. To "free-up" these the account with not confirmed e-mail address first needs to be removed from the system.
