The EventSmith tab contains settings for the EventSmith notification SMTP server, Event Subscriptions (Admin and User), and Event Logs.

What is EventSmith?What is EventSmith?The service by which users are notified of events which are triggered by specific data conditions. Events could be data that is Out of Tolerance, Out of Control or new data was processed. These events are defined within the CM4D report, and users can subscribe to the events for which they want to receive email notifications.

Subscriptions

The EventSmith Subscriptions blade is where you to subscribe to Events and create or modify custom Notification Text for any email you may get as a result of a particular event.

If you are an Event Administrator and will be subscribing to events for multiple users, use the Subscriptions (Admin) tab.

Subscriptions (Admin)

The EventSmith Subscriptions (Admin) blade is where an administrator subscribes to events for all users in the database, modifies events for multiple users at one time, removes subscriptions for users that have self-subscribed, and creates or modifies the Notification Text for any subscriptions. To see the Subscriptions (Admin) tab, the Event Administrator and Event Manager user roles are required.

Log

The EventSmith Log provides a record of each event notification processed for the logged-in user.

Settings (SMTP)

  The Settings blade is where you configure the EventSmith mail server (SMTP) information. If your server uses Authentication, a username and password is required; no username assumes the server uses Anonymous Relay.
