Some users may not be qualified to carry out certain inspections and answer certain questions. To prevent this from happening they can be permitted to answer specific questions and checklist categories.
Users are assigned to one or more Security Groups. The users are then only allowed to answer questions within those security groups. If a question is not permitted to be answered by a user, it is 'greyed out' and cannot be answered.
To use the Checklist Security feature, it must be enabled.
Select the Attribute tab.
Click Security in the Checklist section.
The Unit Checklist Security window opens.
Click the Add button ().
The Security Group window opens.
Enter a description for the security group.
Select the Questions tab.
If required, filter the list of questions by Question Type and Result Type.
Enable the checklist categories and questions that will be included in the security group.
Users will only be able to answer the selected questions.
Select the Users tab.
Enable the users that will be assigned to the security group.
These users will only be able to answer the selected questions in this security group.
Click OK.
The security group is created.
If a new question is created and added to a category that is enabled within a security group, the question will not automatically be enabled. You will need to enable it within the security group manually.
Users assigned SuperUser rights overrule Checklist Security.
