ATS Security can be configured to enable users to create accounts from the login dialog box.
When self registration of users and SMTP settings are configured the Don't have an account? text with a Register link appears in the Login dialog on the login page of ATS Security. To register as a user in ATS Security:
Click on the Register link in the ATS Security login page Login dialog. The Registration dialog box loads.
Enter a user name.
Enter a valid e-mail address.
Enter a Password.
The user name and e-mail address fields will be marked as invalid if a user with these details already exists in ATS Security. The password field will be marked as invalid if the provided value does not conform to the password complexity settings.
A dialog is displayed that directs the user to check and confirm the registration request.
A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the address entered during registration, which contains a confirmation link. Click on the Confirm e-mail link in the message.
The subject of the e-mail will be ATS Security registration: Confirm e-mail address.
The Registration submitted dialog appears informing the user that an e-mail will be sent once the account is ready.
The account from the registration ends up in the Pending approval status.
An Administrator will then approve the account.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the users e-mail address, which confirms that the account has been registered.
The subject of the e-mail will be ATS Security registration: Registration confirmed.
The user is now able to log in using their new user name and password.

The user is now able to log in using their new user name and password.
User names and e-mail addresses for accounts that have not been confirmed by the user cannot be used for further registrations. These requests can be deleted manually or, if configured, deleted manually.

The registration of users from external providers will take place only if a local user matching the credentials entered is not found.
The auto register option for an external identity provider can be enabled for trusted providers. The users data will be saved in ATS Security, bypassing user registration settings. The login screen will feature the icons of configured identity providers
To register a user from an external identity provider in ATS Security:
Click on the identity provider icon.
The user is navigated to the external identity provider page where the login credentials for the external provider are requested.
Proceed through the login process of the external provider with valid login credentials.
Once the user is successfully logged in to the external identity provider, the user is redirected ATS Security Manager.
The User is registered in ATS Security Manager and the default role is applied and automatically signed in to ATS Security Manager.
The process for registering users from external providers where the Auto register option is disabled will depend on how the identity provider has been configured:
Enable registration: If this setting is disabled, new users cannot be registered.
Require Administrator approval: This setting is available if Enable registration has been selected.
To register a user from an external provider when Administrator approval is required:
Click on the identity provider icon.
The user is navigated to the external identity provider page where the login credentials for the external provider are requested.
Proceed through the login process of the external provider with valid login credentials.
Once the user is successfully logged in to the external identity provider, the user is redirected ATS Security Manager and a message is displayed informing the user that administrator approval is required.
An Administrator will then approve the account.
