Annotation Sets are predefined designs for the annotations in CM4D Peruse that are used for Annotation displayed in the 3D viewer (Feature Marker) and in Layouts around the 3D Viewer (Layouts Menu). The sets are configured by CM4D Admins to provide optimal displays of information for the Feature type displayed. Each set can use the same template or it can use a different templates or styles designed specifically for a certain Feature type, so depending on the characteristic displayed you may see a different annotation style.
To choose which set is used when Annotation are opened from the 3D model or used in a Layout, select an option from the Annotation Set menu at the top of the 3D Viewer page.
Working directly within the 3D Viewer, annotations can be opened from the Feature Markers on the 3D model.
Example Set 1 - Shows the same chart style for Surface, Hole and XYZ feature types.
Example Set 2 - Shows different chart styles depending on the feature type; charts for Surface, Hole and XYZ features each have a different appearance.
The annotation type or style used in the Layout is determined by what is currently selected in the Annotation Set dropdown menu.
Layouts can vary in number of annotations, where the annotations are drawn and how the annotation are arranged from page to page. Changes to data selection or model adjustment result in immediate updates to the layout contents, including redrawing of leader lines and annotation placement. These Layouts can be Single Page or Multiple Page. Other behavior options can be enabled that determine how the annotations are organized within the screen area. By default, a built-in option called 'Fullscreen' is available without any Admin Configuration, which shows only the 3D Viewer without any annotations.
Example Set 1 - Shows the same chart style for Surface, Hole and XYZ feature types.
Example Set 2 - Shows different chart styles depending on the feature type; charts for Surface, Hole and XYZ features each have a different appearance.
Annotation Sets in Peruse are configured by a CM4D Administrator in ATS Configuration Manager. See here for more Admin information.
