Data Collect is used to enter and track quality concerns and repair data. It can be run on a portable device, such as a tablet, or on a stationary PC. Portable devices are useful for roving data collection, whereas stationary workstations are used at fixed data inspection locations. In either case, operators can enter quality concerns for a part (including the type and the severity of concern) and then assign it for repair.
Quality data entered using Data Collect is immediately stored in a database for analysis. Over 70 real-time data reports may be generated using the ATS ARS (Advanced Reporting Services) application, including trend charts, pareto charts, bar charts, tables and graphical scatter plots.
If your company's implementation of Inspect includes the Event Service application, quality information collected with Data Collect may also be used to send system notifications and trigger other events.
